I was a bully in primary school. A completely different human being to who I am today. I was bratty, rebelling against authority, and rarely received discipline at home. I had the makings of a child that would be on the path of reckless abandon, and I felt no one could stop me. Putting sand down girls’ pants, pushing people around, stapling books together, I was a terror. Then one day, in Grade 4, I decided it would be big of me to pick on a girl one grade below me. I had slapped a sandwich out of her hands, and smashed it into grass with my feet. As I get my kicks out of seeing a little girl about to burst in tears, I feel two hands push against my back, and I land face first in the dried up mud. After I get over the initial shock, and turn around in the intent of tackling the guy who did this act.
